Pikeville College Lady Bears Bowling

Pikeville College Lady Bowlers National Champions

Pikeville College Strikes and Spares

It's been a tough season for Pikeville College Bears Football fans thus far. But Saturday's match up between the Bears and Shorter College's Hawks had a couple of bright spots. Our former file clerk, #85 Justin Lamb, has reached a milestone of over 100 carries which is a school record.

The other bright spot, was at halftime the Pikeville College Bears Women Bowling team received their National championship rings for their stellar performance against a myriad of teams including NCAA, NAIA, and other conferences. You go girls!

Pikeville College National Championship rings

The women were all smiles when they received the token of the team's accomplishments. The Lady Bears rings were quite dainty in comparison to a Men's football championship ring...but no smaller in victory or in the heart these athletes put into the sport. Pikeville College can be proud!

Charlie  and I were honored to be in attendance at a awards dinner after the game for both the Men and Women's Bowling Team. Thanks to Ron Damron for the invitation. We enjoy being with all the students, including our current file clerk Brice Reem. Brice is a Freshman on the Men's Bowling Team.

We wish the all Pikeville College Athletes a successful season; and send a big shout out to the Women's Bowling Team. Go Bears!
