You betcha! Hats off to Nike, the University of Kentucky, and Penny Chenery Secretariat's owner for combining the championship mystic of Kentucky basketball and Kentucky horse racing. Big Red, is of course the nickname for Triple Crown winner Secretariat.

Back at Derby time, former UK Coach Tubby Smith was quoted in several papers as being saddened as he and Bill Keightley used to attend the Derby together. I think maybe Bill is up there smiling, pleased we remember him...but that we also honor a Kentucky tradition and passion, horse racing.
So as we move forward into the new season of Kentucky Basketball, don't look at me cross-eyed if you see me shouting "Go Big Red." After all, Secretariat is my favorite equine and for my favorite basketball team to reference him just makes me swell with Kentucky pride.
